Who is Kim?
I’m a Harvardian, a new media publisher and digital marketing strategist, and I currently use this blog to connect with digitally inclined Women of Color.
At 9, I taught myself HTML, and the art of web development immediately captured my interest. I created my first websites on Gurlpages and Geocities, and about a year later, I created my first online magazine Starlett.
I didn’t come to blogging until the relatively late date of 2006. But in that time I’ve created a few blogs (most notably Black Style Central and For Harriet), and learned the ins and outs of blogging and digital promotion.

Why Tumblr?
I get this question quite frequently, and I understand why. Tumblr has yet to become a standard mainstream blogging destination.
I set up shop on Tumblr because of the flexibility and portability of the platform. I love writing longer posts, but occasionally I just want to share a link or video. This was the best choice to insure my readers get the best experience.
